Position Overview

We are in search of a highly qualified and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our finance team. This role will focus on enhancing revenue and cost efficiency, pinpointing opportunities to meet established targets, conducting in-depth analyses, and bridging the financial performance of contracts, which will involve presentations and discussions with senior management. Key responsibilities include preparing revenue and cost forecasts, validating contract signings, certifying signings and backlogs, monthly financial reporting, managing contract closing activities, calculating and processing accruals, overseeing invoice collection management, analyzing balance sheet positions, and identifying and mitigating potential risks at early stages. Furthermore, this position requires providing necessary information to accounting regarding troubled or loss contracts, gross versus net cases, global checklists, revenue allocation, separability, and T&T performance.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA designation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a comparable role focused on financial analysis and planning.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
  • Proficient in financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software) and ERP systems.
  • Experience with SAP enterprise projects is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong business acumen with the capacity to comprehend and analyze business operations and financial drivers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • The candidate must be located in Canada.
