About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Engie. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in overseeing general ledger accounting and reporting for renewable entities in both their development and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and perform variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Compile management reports to provide insights into financial performance and drive business decisions.
  • Interface with external auditors to prepare financial schedules and fulfill audit requests.
  • Assist the Performance Control Analyst with annual budgeting and long-term forecasting, and tackle ad-hoc projects involving complex accounting concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' of relevant accounting experience in Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliations or related field.
  • CPA certified or in progress towards certification.
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting skills, complemented by expertise in Microsoft Excel and a solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, SAP or Cartesis.
  • Knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and understand tax equity structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for effective financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Deadline-driven with the ability to plan ahead, ensuring smooth and efficient close processes that meet strict timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivation, enabling effective communication with internal customers and external auditors.

  • Competitive salary range: $74,500 - $104,500 CAD annually.
