Project Cost Controller Job Description

At ANDRITZ Hydro Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are executed within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and control project costs, ensuring that expenses are in line with project budgets.
  • Prepare and submit project reports to stakeholders, including internal and external clients.
  • Manage project milestones and ensure that they are met in a timely manner.
  • Produce project milestone invoices in accordance with project terms and conditions.
  • Forecast project cash flows and manage foreign currency exchange.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with project costs.
  • Prepare and submit change order requests and claims to customers, suppliers, and insurers.
Requirements:
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in project cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VLOOKUP and SUMIF formulas, pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of business-related commercial and financial topics.
  • Knowledge of insurance and contractual topics is an asset.
  • Project management skills are an asset.
  • Bilingual French/English.
