Project Cost Controller Job Description

At ANDRITZ Hydro Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are executed within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and control project costs, ensuring that expenses are in line with project budgets.
  • Prepare and submit project reports to stakeholders, including internal and external clients.
  • Manage project milestones and invoicing, ensuring that payments are made in accordance with project terms and conditions.
  • Forecast project cash flows and manage foreign currency exchange.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, supporting project strategy and decision-making.
  • Prepare and follow up on change order requests, claims, and bonds.
Requirements:
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in project cost control and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of business-related commercial and financial topics, including insurance and contractual matters.
  • Bilingual French/English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
