Job Title: Director, Project Cost Control

ANDRITZ Hydro Canada is seeking an experienced Director, Project Cost Control to oversee the commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of our projects during the execution stage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee commercial management processes in the business segments
  • Conduct regular reviews of ongoing projects to ensure effective identification and mitigation of risks
  • Provide leadership to the Commercial Managers and Project Support Analysts to ensure they can support project execution
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for commercial management excellence
  • Provide expertise in contractual interpretation and guidance to project teams
  • Participate in project reviews to ensure commercial aspects are properly handled
  • Monitor customer payments and take necessary actions
  • Prepare and deploy trainings on commercial topics
Administrative Tasks:
  • Determine the Department annual Goals & Objectives
  • Prepare the resource planning for the department
  • Perform employee performance evaluation for all team members
  • Manage and collaborate with the HR department on HR topics
  • Leadership, training, and development of employees
Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience in commercial management/PCO and contracts administration
  • Degree in Commerce, Administration, Engineering, or other relevant qualification
  • Experience in the hydroelectric or Construction industry, or related business is a plus
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Business law including commercial and contracts principles
  • High level of capability with Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual French/English
