Job Summary

The Senior Sales Director is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and leading the sales team within the beauty industry. This role will focus on developing and maintaining solid relationships with retailers, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded, and identifying new business opportunities. The Senior Sales Director will play a pivotal role in aligning sales strategies with the overall business objectives, contributing to the success and expansion of our brand. This position will directly report to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth within the beauty industry.
  • Manage Key Retail Partners: Manage and nurture relationships with key retail partners, ensuring high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Lead and Motivate the Sales Team: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional results, providing guidance and support to ensure professional growth and performance.
  • Conduct Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the beauty industry, mainly focusing on retail channels.
  • Monitor Sales Performance: Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting areas of success and improvement.
  • Pursue New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential retail partners, expanding our market presence and product distribution.
  • Align Sales Strategies with Business Goals: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
  • Negotiate with Retail Partners: Lead negotiations with retail partners to secure favourable terms and agreements, ensuring long-term profitability and brand alignment.
  • Oversee Sales Budget: Oversee the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achievement of financial targets.
  • Liaise with HQ: Liaise with HQ on local market support, reporting, and ad-hoc requests.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of direct sales experience in retail and 3+ years in a leadership position, preferably within the beauty industry or related sectors.
  • Skills: Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing key retail accounts. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a sales team to achieve results. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Deep understanding of the beauty industry, market trends, and retail dynamics. Ability to analyze data and market insights to inform sales strategies. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
