About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at K&M Franchising Inc. as a Head Cook. This is a permanent position that requires a strong passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.

Chef Supervision

Lead and supervise a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Inventory Management

Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies and equipment as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.

Quality Control

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that all health and safety standards are met and that food quality is consistently high.

Training and Development

Train and develop kitchen staff, providing coaching and feedback to help them improve their skills and performance.

Requirements
  • Education

No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this role.

Work Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Work Setting

This role is based in a restaurant environment.

Cuisine Specialties

East Indian cuisine is a specialty of this role.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
