Job Summary

Trotman Auto Group - Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and configuration of various systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Infrastructure Management:
    • Maintain and optimize network services, including DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, and VPN.
    • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of network services.
    • Manage and maintain wireless network infrastructure (Wi-Fi).
  • Server and Systems Administration:
    • Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams.
    • Manage Entra ID, including user account management.
    • Manage Intune for device management and software deployment.
    • Manage cloud-hosted servers in Azure.
    • Manage on-premises server configurations.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, configurations, standards, processes, and procedures.
    • Escalation resource for Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support.
    • Manage and maintain IT service management (ITSM) systems.
    • Manage and maintain asset management systems.
    • Manage and maintain change control systems.
  • Security and Disaster Recovery:
    • Manage cyber awareness training and testing platforms.
    • Manage and monitor various security systems, including management of alerts, investigation, and remediation.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience:
    • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in administration of Microsoft 365 cloud systems.
    • 5+ years of experience in administration of Entra ID and Azure cloud infrastructure.
    • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft security systems and services, including zero-trust frameworks.
    • 5+ years of experience in administration of Intune for device management and software deployment, including patching.
    • Power BI experience is an asset.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to system management.
    • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results.
    • Adept in collaborating with teams and stakeholders at various technical levels, including 3rd-party vendors.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to provide support and assistance to other IT team members.
    • Have a valid BC driver's license and reliable vehicle to travel to dealerships when necessary.
    • Azure and Office 365 certifications and cybersecurity certifications are an asset.
