Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Backend Development Intern. This position is ideal for a Master's level student passionate about constructing robust and scalable backend systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering team to design, develop, and maintain the server-side logic and databases that drive our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain server-side components and APIs utilizing languages such as Python or Java.
  • Work with database systems (SQL/NoSQL) to design, optimize, and manage data storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to merge user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Ensure the security and efficiency of web applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to discussions on best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in backend development.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong grasp of backend programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience with database management and design (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in backend development.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
