Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team at IFG International Financial Group Ltd. as a key member of our development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable backend systems to support our trading platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop high-quality backend systems using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Spring Boot.
  2. Develop and support front-office trading systems for trade booking, execution, and derivative trade pricing.
  3. Conduct proof of concept for Microservices-related technologies and solutions.
  4. Participate in scalability, performance, security, and Microservices best practice discussions.
  5. Take ownership of onboarding products to the trading platform and provide efficient development estimates.
  6. Design, develop, code, test, and debug new applications or enhancements.
  7. Generate technical design specifications and update documentation in Confluence.
  8. Collaborate with Quants and Traders to adapt to an evolving environment.

Requirements:

  1. 10+ years of service-side development experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Spring Boot.
  2. 3+ years' Unix Oracle Stored Procedure experience.
  3. 3+ years of experience with relational or NoSQL databases.
  4. Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  1. Python application development experience with Django or Flask.
  2. Experience in Microservices Architecture and Event Driven Architecture.
  3. Knowledge of capital markets and financial instruments.
  4. UI/Full Stack Development experience in Angular/JavaScript.
