Chief Operating Officer

Coast Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our organization's strategic planning process, provide operational leadership to our senior management team, and serve as a liaison to external stakeholders and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a system for tracking, reporting, and evaluating the progress of our strategic plan implementation.
  • Contribute to the enterprise risk management process, identifying organizational risks, promoting risk mitigation, and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performance senior management team, with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis, planning, and program budgeting.
  • Ensure the continued financial viability of our organization's operational units through sound fiscal management.
  • Assist in managing and cultivating existing relationships with funders to secure and expand recurring revenue streams and identify new prospects and projects.
  • Publicly represent the organization with the media and external constituency groups, building excitement for our mission and vision.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, operational leadership, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach and develop a high-performance team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
