Chief Operating Officer

Coast Mental Health seeks a seasoned leader to serve as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will have strategic and operational responsibility for the organization's programs and services, Information Technology/Information Management (IT/IM), and Quality Improvement and Properties areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the organization's strategic plan, working in collaboration with the senior management team and staff.
  • Provide operational leadership to the senior management team and serve as a liaison to external stakeholders and partners.
  • Work with the CEO and Board of Directors to ensure the Board and senior management team are aware and engaged in Coast's strategies, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the operational aspects of Coast Mental Health, in partnership with the senior management team.
  • Lead and implement Quality Improvement plans and initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of staff training programs.
  • Ensure the continued financial viability of the organization's operational units through sound fiscal management.
  • Represent the organization with the media and external constituency groups, building excitement for the organization's mission and vision.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of strategic planning and operational leadership.
  • Experience in managing IT/IM and Quality Improvement and Properties areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the senior management team and staff.
  • Knowledge of Coast Mental Health's mission and values.
