Laboratory Assistant

Job Summary:
Dynacare is seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens in a timely and accurate manner.
- Enter requisitions and results into our system, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
- Work collaboratively with our laboratory team to ensure the efficient processing of specimens and the delivery of high-quality results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of processes that enhance patient care and laboratory operations.
Requirements:
- Secondary school diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, at a level that enables clear communication with patients and colleagues.
