Winter Sports Sales and Instruction Specialist
Compensation: Sales responsibilities at $18.00/hr, Instruction roles starting at $20.00/hr for Level 1 qualifications, escalating to $30.00/hr for Level 4 qualifications.
Position Summary:
This role combines sales and instructional responsibilities, requiring a balance of performance and business acumen.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Schedule lessons and assist guests with inquiries related to the resort.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and experience.
- Ensure all ski and snowboard lesson bookings are processed efficiently and accurately through various communication channels.
Instructional Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality ski and/or snowboard instruction to guests of all ages and skill levels.
- Ensure that every guest enjoys a safe, engaging, and informative experience.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Winter Sports School.
Essential Knowledge Areas:
- Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the staff handbook.
- Familiarity with the Winter Sports School orientation training.
- Assist guests with resort-related inquiries.
- Knowledge of Winter Sports School products, ticketing operations, and resort facilities.
- Develop an understanding of skiing and snowboarding to accurately assess lesson levels.
- Possess a solid understanding of Canadian ski and/or snowboard instruction practices or hold an equivalent international certification.
- Comply with health and safety policies and incident reporting systems.
- Demonstrate strong group management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept assignments that align with your qualifications and position within the Winter Sports School.
- Maintain a professional appearance and image as per departmental guidelines.
- Provide outstanding guest service and prioritize mountain safety for all visitors and staff.
- Deliver ski and/or snowboard instruction in accordance with established standards.
- Offer constructive feedback in a supportive manner to help students and instructors achieve their objectives.
- Ensure all communications with guests and staff are professional and timely.
- Assist other departments with operational tasks as directed by management.
- Guarantee the accuracy of all information provided.
- Previous experience in money handling, skiing, snowboarding, or guest service roles is preferred but not mandatory.

- Minimum Level 1 internationally recognized qualification in ski and/or snowboard instruction.
- Ability to convey ski and/or snowboard concepts in a guest-friendly manner.
