Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Part-Time Snowboard Instructor for Winter Season
Compensation: Starting at $20.00/hr for Level 1 qualifications, $25.00/hr for Level 2 qualifications, $27.50/hr for Level 3 qualifications, and $30.00/hr for Level 4 qualifications.
Position Summary:
Deliver high-quality snowboard instruction to guests of various ages and skill levels, adapting lessons to meet diverse needs. Ensure that every participant enjoys a safe, engaging, and informative experience on the slopes. Execute responsibilities and additional tasks as assigned by the Winter Sports School management as necessary.Essential Knowledge Areas:
Follow the policies and procedures outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Staff Handbook. Adhere to the guidelines established during the Winter Sports School Orientation Training. Comply with health and safety regulations and the incident/hazard reporting system of the resort. Assist guests with inquiries related to resort services. Possess a solid understanding of Canadian snowboard instruction practices (CASI) or an equivalent internationally recognized certification.Key Responsibilities:
Accept all assignments that align with your qualifications and role within the Winter Sports School. Maintain a neat, professional appearance in accordance with departmental standards. Provide exceptional guest service and prioritize mountain safety for all visitors and staff. Deliver outstanding snowboard instruction, adhering to the standards set by the Ski & Snowboard School. Offer constructive feedback and guidance in a supportive manner to help students and instructors reach their objectives. Ensure all interactions with guests and colleagues are professional, timely, and in the best interest of the resort. Support other mountain departments and management with operational tasks as directed by your Supervisor/Manager.Required Skills:
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Exhibit active listening and effective communication abilities. Hold at least a Level 1 internationally recognized qualification in ski and/or snowboard instruction. Maintain a positive attitude, punctuality, reliability, and a sense of responsibility.Application Prerequisites:
Valid work VISA or legal authorization to work in Canada. Submission of a Cover Letter and Resume/CV. Proof of certification and active membership in relevant organizations. Criminal Record Check with clearance for working with children, completed within the last year. Availability for orientation sessions as scheduled. Commitment to a minimum of 12 weekend days during the winter season, excluding specific holiday weekends.Application Deadline:
