Compensation: Starting at $20.00/hr for Level 1 qualifications, $25.00/hr for Level 2 qualifications, $27.50/hr for Level 3 qualifications, $30.00/hr for Level 4 qualifications.
Position Summary:
Deliver exceptional ski and/or snowboard instruction to guests of varying ages and skill levels, ensuring a memorable experience. Ensure that every participant enjoys a safe, engaging, and educational experience on the slopes. Execute additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Winter Sports School management.Essential Knowledge Areas:
Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Staff Handbook. Follow the guidelines set forth in the Winter Sports School Orientation Training. Comply with health and safety regulations and incident/hazard reporting protocols. Assist guests with inquiries related to resort services. Possess a solid understanding of Canadian ski and/or snowboard instruction practices (CSIA, CASI) or hold an equivalent internationally recognized certification.Key Responsibilities:
Accept all assignments that align with your qualifications and role within the Winter Sports School. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold a high standard of personal grooming as specified in your department manual. Provide outstanding guest service and prioritize mountain safety for all visitors and staff. Deliver high-quality ski and/or snowboard instruction in accordance with the standards established by the Ski & Snowboard School. Offer constructive feedback and guidance in a supportive manner to help students and instructors reach their objectives. Ensure all interactions with guests and colleagues are professional, timely, and reflect the best interests of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. Collaborate with other mountain departments and management on operational tasks as directed by your Supervisor/Manager.Required Skills:
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Exhibit active listening and proficient communication skills. Hold at least a Level 1 internationally recognized qualification in ski or dual instruction. Maintain a positive attitude, punctuality, reliability, and responsibility.Application Requirements:
Valid work VISA or legal authorization to work in Canada. Submission of a Cover Letter and Resume/CV. Proof of certification and active membership. Criminal Record Check with clearance to work with children, issued within the last 12 months.-
