Job Summary

Xpera is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to our Claims team, ensuring the smooth operation of our claims process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Claims team, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Assist in the preparation of new claims assignments, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and complete.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, claimants, and internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including claims files and correspondence.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including typing, computer work, and MS Office file coordination.
  • Provide reception duties, including answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate team members.
Requirements
  • Grade twelve diploma
  • A post-secondary diploma in Office Administration will be given preference
  • Insurance industry experience is an asset; preference will be given to those with claims or adjusting experience
  • Level 1 Insurance License or completion of courses within CIP Program, also given preference
  • Previous experience within a dynamic team will be given preference
  • Experience in an administrative support environment is preferred

  • Previously demonstrated ability to execute high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities and proven organizational skills
  • Demonstrated behaviors showing initiative behaviors and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated professionalism and work ethic
  • Proven ability to contribute to and work well within a team environment
  • Intermediate experience with Word and Excel are required
  • All other computer applications –must have the aptitude and ability to learn as required
