About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at IWK Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze patient data during treatments to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Operate advanced ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record high-quality images
  • Monitor examinations to evaluate image quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed
  • Train students and other medical sonographers in best practices
  • Record, store, and process scanned images using camera units connected to ultrasound equipment
  • Prepare examination reports for physicians, highlighting key findings and recommendations
  • Perform routine maintenance on ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance
Area of Specialization

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in obstetrical and gynecological sonography, pediatric echocardiography, and pediatric neurosonology.

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
