Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. As a member of our team, you will perform routine and specialized ultrasound procedures, ensuring proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.

About the Role

  • Perform patient care and technical activities related to the functioning of the department
  • Travel to other sites may be required

About You

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
  • Sonography Canada certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Comprehension of technical language to review manuals and participate in discussions
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Registration with more than one ultrasound credential is an asset
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
