Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Needed

Seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform routine and specialized ultrasound procedures in a Diagnostic Imaging Department.

About the Opportunity

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer reports to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and performs patient care, technical activities, and duties related to the overall functioning of the department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine and specialized ultrasound procedures
  • Ensuring proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures
  • Traveling to other sites as required
About You

We're looking for a qualified candidate with:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
  • Sonography Canada certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Comprehension of technical language and ability to review manuals and participate in discussions
  • Previous experience and registration with multiple ultrasound credentials an asset
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours and Compensation

This is a Permanent Part-Time Position (40%) with 30 hours bi-weekly.

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Hourly rate: $39.96
