About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and performing routine and specialized ultrasound procedures in our Diagnostic Imaging Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing ultrasound procedures to diagnose and treat various medical conditions
  • Applying advanced ultrasound techniques and procedures to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technologies and techniques

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in diagnostic medical sonography. About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited program
  • Current certification in Sonography Canada
  • Licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
