Position Overview
The Senior Technical Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the direction, coordination, and execution of enterprise-wide and cross-departmental initiatives that involve significant technological components. This position is pivotal in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will:
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables.
  • Establish and lead a comprehensive Project Management Office (PMO) that adheres to industry best practices.
  • Facilitate a PMO steering committee to review escalations and make strategic decisions that benefit the organization.
  • Manage multiple complex projects that are cross-functional and aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Assemble and lead project teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and engagement across the organization.
  • Identify and manage risks, scope changes, and develop contingency plans as necessary.
  • Implement a robust budget management process with clear project reporting metrics.
  • Create detailed project schedules and timelines, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Maintain a risk register with mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and necessary adjustments.
  • Implement change management strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • Document lessons learned and evaluate project outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver project management training to enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Lead discussions to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration.
  • Embed a quality-focused culture within project management practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager in a mid-sized or large organization.
  • A minimum of 10 years in customer, IT/software, and internal project management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing PMOs.
  • Proficiency in various project management methodologies, including Scrum, SDLC, Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall, and Kanban.
  • Strong facilitation, motivational, and influencing skills.
  • Self-motivation with minimal supervision required once objectives are clear.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • PMP certification is preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Over 10 years of project management experience.

  • Proven track record in managing, planning, and tracking projects.
  • Experience in the retail industry.
  • Hybrid-Agile project management experience.
