RSM Canada - Senior Tax Manager

RSM Canada is on the lookout for a Senior Tax Manager to enhance our growing Financial Services division. This position offers the chance to engage with a variety of intricate clients across sectors including Asset Management, Financial Institutions, Insurance, Specialty Finance, and beyond.

As a Senior Tax Manager at RSM, your responsibilities will include:

  • Mentoring and providing constructive feedback to team members
  • Facilitating the development and training of staff
  • Conducting thorough reviews and analyses of tax returns
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of tax provisions
  • Managing risk for both clients and the firm
  • Offering advisory services on corporate tax matters
  • Keeping abreast of current tax regulations and practices
  • Participating in the recruitment process for junior staff

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  • CPA Certification
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Public Accounting
  • Excellent communication abilities

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Canadian Income Tax Act
  • Experience in international tax issues
  • Strong technical proficiency in tax preparation
