Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking an E-commerce and Retail Operations Manager.
This role involves overseeing both the online and physical retail operations of the VGH Gift Shop. As a key player in our organization, you will ensure that both the e-commerce platform and the in-person store deliver exceptional customer experiences while driving profitability.
E-commerce Responsibilities:
Manage the VGH Gift Shop website hosted on Shopify, focusing on cost-effective operations to enhance donations for essential hospital programs. Utilize marketing skills and creative insights to keep the online gift shop engaging and aligned with customer expectations. Establish website objectives and develop online strategies to meet business goals. Oversee product onboarding, content creation, SEO initiatives, and user experience enhancements. Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.Retail Responsibilities:
Collaborate with another Gift Shop Manager to ensure profitable operations of the physical store. Supervise and support a team of volunteers, ensuring effective customer service and task completion. Drive demand and customer engagement through outstanding service and efficient order fulfillment. Assist with inventory management, receiving, and store merchandising.Qualifications
Education & Experience
Diploma in Business or Marketing Management. Three to five years of relevant retail management experience, including merchandising and marketing.Knowledge & Abilities
Proven ability to create and implement marketing campaigns and strategies. Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts. Strong understanding of current retail trends. Excellent interpersonal, motivational, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to foster collaborative relationships with staff and volunteers. Capability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
