Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Mechanical Specialist to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mechanical services to support the rehabilitation of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical service delivery, including mechanical repairs and maintenance.
  • Document all clinical service delivery activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Contribute to education and research initiatives, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in mechanical rehabilitation.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience in welding and sheet metal fabrication is essential.
  • Experience in automotive repairs and adaptation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating various machine shop equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and metal bending equipment.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of materials, including ABS, polyurethane, steel, aluminum, and wood.
  • Experience working with disabled persons and assessing and solving problems related to wheelchair seating is preferred.
Education and Certification
  • Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards, or equivalent.
  • Certified Red Seal Machinist with a minimum of 3 years of journeyperson experience is required.
  • 2-year Manufacturing Technician Diploma or 1-year Precision Metal Machining Certificate is preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
