POSITION OVERVIEW

The Educational Program Director plays a crucial role in ensuring a superior customer experience by addressing the educational requirements of families and overseeing the implementation of our academic programs by qualified instructors.
To facilitate personalized learning, the Director assesses student performance, engages with families, and collaborates with school educators to support the application of skills acquired in educational settings.
Additionally, the Director observes and mentors teaching staff to guarantee effective instructional practices.
In the absence of the Center Director, the Educational Program Director acts as the primary contact for clients and oversees center operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the Center Director in conducting student assessments, revising lesson plans, and preparing educational resources.
  • Instructs students using the Sylvan curriculum in a small group setting when necessary.
    The candidate will engage and inspire students during lessons and assess and document their progress post-instruction.
  • Organizes and manages all conference-related activities, including preparing materials and meeting with parents to maintain family enrollment.
  • Ensures all educators are adequately trained and certified to deliver Sylvan programs while monitoring their performance.
  • Encourages and develops staff through ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Tracks student progress to ensure educational goals are met and family needs are addressed.
  • Conducts regular parent conferences with appropriate documentation.
  • Maintains consistent communication with schools through teacher conferences, whether in-person, via email, or phone.
  • Reports any concerns regarding student progress or instructor performance to the Center Director.
  • May be required to visit schools to establish and nurture partnerships for marketing and collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred experience of one to two years in teaching; supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with current educational curriculum and policies.
  • Previous experience in retail or sales is advantageous.
  • Proficient in computer use, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of iPads and Zoom is beneficial.

    The candidate should be articulate, organized, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of problem-solving in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Effective written communication skills tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively; a strong team player.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required.
  • Access to reliable transportation is preferred.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (with potential for part-time hours).
