Job Summary

Kumon is seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Program Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Supervision
    • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure they are meeting the needs of children and adhering to Kumon's standards.
    • Provide guidance and support to early childhood educators to help them develop and implement effective programs.
  • Program Development
    • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new programs and initiatives.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings to ensure that all team members are informed and aligned.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Environment and Safety
    • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Language
    • English
  • Work Arrangements
    • Temporary work arrangement
    • 30 to 40 hours per week
