Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wood Processing Labourer to join our team at Ledwidge Lumber. As a key member of our sawmill operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to facilitate the wood processing operation.
  • Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials as required.
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products to meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Work Environment

As a Wood Processing Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced sawmill environment with exposure to noise, odours, dust, heat, and cold. You will be required to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination are essential for this role.
  • You must be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
