Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wood Processing Labourer to join our team at Ledwidge Lumber. As an Entry Level Sawmill Worker, you will be responsible for operating machinery to process wood products, handling materials, and transporting wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Machinery: Safely operate machinery to process wood products, ensuring efficient and effective production.
  • Material Handling: Handle materials and transport wood products to and from production areas, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Cleanliness: Clean work areas and machines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment

As a Wood Processing Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.

Requirements
  • Education: No formal education is required, but previous experience is beneficial.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires repetitive tasks, heavy lifting, and physically demanding work. You must be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and have good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Work Schedule: This is a permanent position with 30 to 45 hours per week, working in the English language.
