Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wood Processing Labourer to join our team at Ledwidge Lumber. As a Wood Processing Labourer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to wood processing, including feeding conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wood Processing Operations: Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to ensure efficient wood processing.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials, and unload wood products.
  • Sorting and Piling: Sort and pile wood products to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Work Environment

As a Wood Processing Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced sawmill environment with exposure to noise, odours, dust, heat, and cold. You will be required to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain attention to detail and perform tasks with manual dexterity.
