About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at 21 Century as a Butcher Apprentice. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced butchers in preparing and processing high-quality meats for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean and sanitize all meats to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Cut and Trim Meats: Assist in cutting and trimming meats to prepare them for packaging and sale.
  • Package and Label Meats: Wrap and package meats in a clean and efficient manner, ensuring all products are accurately labeled and ready for sale.
  • Remove Bones and Grind Meats: Remove bones from meats and grind them to the required consistency for our products.
  • Shape and Package Meats: Shape and package meats into attractive and appealing products for our customers.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of our butchery department.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
