We are seeking a skilled Butcher Apprentice to join our team at 21 Century. As a Butcher Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of meats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring a high level of quality and safety.
  • Cut and Trim Meats: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands.
  • Package and Wrap Meats: Wrap and package prepared meats for distribution and sale.
  • Remove Bones and Grind Meats: Remove bones from meat and grind meats to desired consistency.
  • Shape and Package Meats: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood for presentation and sale.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Standing and Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads.
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Language and Communication: Communicate effectively in English with colleagues and customers.
  • Work Schedule: Work 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
