About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher Apprentice to join our team at 21 Century. As a Butcher Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of meats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Cut and Trim Meats: Cut and trim standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands.
  • Package and Wrap Meats: Wrap and package prepared meats for distribution.
  • Remove Bones and Grind Meats: Remove bones from meat and grind meats to meet customer requirements.
  • Shape and Package Meats: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood for presentation.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, moving around the production area.
  • Physically Demanding: Perform physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads.
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
