About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at 45006 Yukon Inc. as a key member of our facilities operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from our commercial building and surrounding areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contacting tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Conduct minor repairs on appliances and equipment, and ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Work with minimal supervision, taking initiative to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, ensuring a safe and accessible environment for our staff and visitors.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
  • Reliability and dependability, with a strong sense of initiative and judgment.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 35-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a commercial building environment, with occasional travel to rural areas and other locations as needed.
