Job Summary:
beBee Professionals is seeking an experienced Event Planning Manager to join our team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing special events for our organization.
This includes researching and selecting venues, coordinating catering, and managing event budgets. The Event Planning Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute special events, including conferences, galas, and product launches
- Research and select venues, catering services, and other event vendors
- Manage event budgets and ensure timely and within-budget execution
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and audiovisual equipment
- Ensure seamless execution of events, including setup, registration, and tear-down
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in event planning, hospitality, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in event planning and coordination
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of event planning software
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
