Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients during endoscopic procedures to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario.
  • Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years experience in Endoscopy.
  • Certification in Post Anesthetic Recovery Room Care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Current basic cardiac life support certificate.
  • Experience with Meditech, PICIS, and ENDOPRO.
  • Knowledge of infection control guidelines in an Endoscopy setting.
  • Membership with Canadian Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (CSGNA) preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical reasoning and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to provide patient teaching material.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Clear criminal record check required.
