Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients during endoscopic procedures to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario.
- Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of two years experience in Endoscopy.
- Certification in Post Anesthetic Recovery Room Care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Current basic cardiac life support certificate.
- Experience with Meditech, PICIS, and ENDOPRO.
- Knowledge of infection control guidelines in an Endoscopy setting.
- Membership with Canadian Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (CSGNA) preferred.
- Demonstrated clinical reasoning and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to provide patient teaching material.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Clear criminal record check required.
