Job Objective:
Secure Energy is seeking a Lead Corrosion Specialist to join our Fluids Management laboratory team. This role involves the innovation and assessment of chemical corrosion inhibitors utilizing high-temperature and pressure autoclaves, as well as RCE and LPR apparatus under both sweet and sour environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate and analyze results from high-temperature/pressure autoclaves, RCE (Rotating Cylinder Electrode), and LPR/Bubble corrosion inhibitor testing.
  2. Assess the effectiveness of H2S scavengers.
  3. Innovate and assess new formulations of corrosion inhibitors.
  4. Provide expert technical assistance to both technical and sales teams regarding corrosion inhibition and testing methodologies.
  5. Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in alignment with Secure Energy's safety protocols, as well as ASTM and AMPP standards.
  6. Draft comprehensive technical reports and proposals.
  7. Manage the handling of gas cylinders, including those containing H2S gas.
  8. Conduct residual testing for corrosion inhibitors.
Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience as a Chemical or Engineering Technologist.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corrosion management is preferred.

Experience with oil and gas production chemicals is advantageous.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed technical documentation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

A valid Class 5 driver's license.
