Overview:

Aegion is a leader in the field of corrosion management and protection solutions. We are currently seeking an AMPP / NACE Certified Senior Corrosion Technologist. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and longevity of various infrastructures through advanced corrosion control techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive testing and field assessments for corrosion and protective systems, including the evaluation of results and installation of cathodic protection systems on diverse structures.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to interpret customer specifications and drawings, ensuring precise execution of objectives.
  • Perform field surveys to collect data for corrosion assessment and control measures.
  • Execute integrity testing for pipelines and tanks.
  • Assess corrosion prevention systems, including cathodic protection, protective coatings, and monitoring techniques.
  • Collect and analyze structure-to-soil potential data, soil metrics, and rectifier information.
  • Identify and propose solutions for system issues encountered during resurvey operations.
  • Prepare detailed survey reports for engineering review.
  • Create sketches of rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design elements on prepared documentation.
  • Document physical characteristics of installation sites for future reference.
  • Organize and analyze collected data, preparing charts and tables for reporting.
  • Compile and analyze data for final client reports, including actionable recommendations.
  • Draft survey and final job reports for review and approval.
  • Support management in evaluating employee performance and related matters.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients as necessary.
  • Assist in cost estimation and the preparation of detailed proposals.

Qualifications:

  • AMPP / NACE CP Technologist (CP III), CIP II, or in progress.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corrosion control, including leadership and training of technicians.
  • Strong project management and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and internal customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience in complex spreadsheets and databases.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds / 22 kg regularly.
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime as required.
