Director of IT Solutions and Financial Systems

Position Overview
The Director of IT Solutions and Financial Systems at Magna International Inc. plays a pivotal role in managing the deployment, upkeep, and enhancement of all financial systems, including Onestream and capital tracking applications, across the global network of Magna facilities. This position is also responsible for spearheading the advancement of additional functional systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a detailed strategy for Enterprise Business solutions that aligns with Magna's financial and operational goals.
- Oversee the integration and deployment of functional systems across all Magna facilities worldwide.
- Ensure the successful execution of IT solutions, adhering to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish system configurations, workflows, and data integration specifications.
- Lead a global team of experts in functional solutions, integration, and testing/automation, providing mentorship and support.
- Encourage a collaborative and inclusive workplace, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous professional development.
- Build strong partnerships with functional leaders and plant managers to understand their needs and challenges.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination of IT solution initiatives across teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations on system enhancements and process optimizations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and data privacy requirements in IT systems.
- Identify and address risks associated with IT solutions, implementing necessary controls and security measures.
- Manage relationships with IT system vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to service level agreements while evaluating vendor performance and negotiating contracts to maximize value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, particularly in Finance systems, including Onestream and capital tracking applications.
- Strong understanding of finance and business processes, along with reporting capabilities.
- Proven track record in successfully implementing and managing financial and other systems within a global organization.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a history of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
