Position Overview
The Senior Director of IT Solutions and Finance Systems is tasked with the strategic oversight of the implementation, management, and enhancement of all financial systems, including Onestream and capital tracking applications, across Magna's global operations. This role also encompasses the integration, testing, and automation of various systems.
This position demands a profound understanding of functional processes and technological solutions, alongside the capability to lead a worldwide team.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute a holistic strategy for Enterprise Business solutions that aligns with Magna's financial and operational goals.
- Supervise the deployment and integration of functional systems across all Magna facilities globally.
- Ensure the successful rollout of IT solutions, adhering to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish system configurations, workflows, and data integration needs.
- Lead a global team of experts in functional solutions, integration, and testing/automation, providing mentorship and support.
- Encourage a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous development.
- Build robust relationships with functional leaders and key stakeholders to understand their requirements and challenges.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations on system enhancements and process optimizations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and data privacy mandates in IT systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT solutions, implementing necessary controls and security measures.
- Manage vendor relationships for IT systems, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to service agreements.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, particularly in Finance systems, including Onestream and capital tracking.
- Strong understanding of finance and business processes and reporting.
- Proven track record in implementing and managing financial systems within a global organization.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on inspiring and motivating a diverse workforce.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a history of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
