Position Overview
The Senior Director of Finance Systems and IT Solutions is pivotal in managing the deployment, upkeep, and enhancement of all financial systems, including Onestream and Capital tracking, across Magna's global facilities. This role also drives the advancement of additional functional systems and oversees integration, testing, and automation processes.
This position demands a profound comprehension of functional workflows, technological solutions, and the capability to lead a worldwide team.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a holistic strategy for Enterprise Business solutions, aligning with Magna's financial and operational goals.
- Supervise the integration and implementation of functional systems across all Magna locations globally.
- Ensure the successful rollout of IT solutions, adhering to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish system configurations, workflows, and data integration specifications.
- Lead a global team of experts in functional solutions, integration, and testing/automation, providing mentorship and support.
- Encourage a collaborative and inclusive workplace, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Build robust relationships with functional leaders, plant managers, and key stakeholders to grasp their needs and challenges.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination of IT solution initiatives across various teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations on system enhancements and process optimizations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and data privacy mandates in IT systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT solutions, implementing necessary controls and security measures.
- Manage vendor relationships for IT systems, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to service level agreements, while evaluating vendor performance and negotiating contracts to maximize value.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, particularly focused on finance systems, including Onestream and Capital tracking.
- Strong understanding of finance and business processes and reporting.
- Proven track record in successfully implementing and managing finance and other systems within a global organization.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a history of driving process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
