Position Summary
As the Senior Director of Finance Systems and IT Solutions at Magna IT, you will take charge of the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of all finance systems, including Onestream, Capital tracking, and various financial applications across Magna's global operations. You will also drive the development of functional systems while managing integration, testing, and automation processes throughout the organization.
This role requires a deep understanding of functional processes, technological solutions, and strong leadership skills to guide a diverse global team.Your Role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for Enterprise Business solutions that align with Magna's financial and operational goals.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of functional systems across Magna's global operations.
- Ensure the successful rollout of IT solutions in accordance with project timelines, budget limitations, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define system configurations, workflows, and data integration requirements.
- Lead a global team of specialists in functional solutions, integration, and testing/automation, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Build strong relationships with functional leaders, plant managers, and key stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of IT solution initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations for system improvements and operational enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and data privacy laws in IT systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT solutions, implementing appropriate controls and security measures.
- Manage relationships with IT system vendors, ensuring effective collaboration, adherence to service level agreements, evaluation of vendor performance, and negotiation of contracts for optimal value aligned with Magna's needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, focusing on finance systems such as Onestream, Capital tracking, and other financial applications, with exposure to additional systems being advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of finance and business processes and reporting mechanisms.
- Proven success in implementing and managing finance and other systems within a global context.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, capable of inspiring and motivating diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing large-scale projects involving budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
