About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations and Maintenance Professional to join our Instrumentation and Data Solutions team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for participating in field operations of oceanographic and terrestrial data acquisition programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, maintain, repair, and calibrate equipment in accordance with industry standards.
  • Conduct daily system checks for marine and terrestrial monitoring applications.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibrations, and repairs.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services.
  • Manage the warehouse, including inventory control, documentation, and shipping and receiving.
  • Engage in technical writing in support of projects and proposals.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering Technology, with relevant experience.
  • Experience with Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs), wave buoys, mooring construction, Campbell Scientific dataloggers, Vaisala Remote Processing Units (RPUs), and managing contractors.
  • Ability to travel by vessel, fixed wing, or rotary aircraft, and work extended hours on occasion.
  • Must be able to pass required health and safety training programs and routine drug and alcohol testing.
