Instrumentation Technician

The Instrumentation Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic instrumentation systems on our drilling rigs. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic instrumentation systems, including control systems, transmitters, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure seamless operation of drilling equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of instrumentation systems.
- Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in electronics or instrumentation preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation and electrical systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including control systems, transmitters, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively with other technicians and engineers.
The Instrumentation Technician will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to heavy equipment, electrical and electronic systems, and potentially hazardous materials. The ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures is required.
