Instrumentation Technician

The Instrumentation Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic instrumentation systems on our drilling rigs. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic instrumentation systems, including control systems, transmitters, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement procedures for the maintenance and repair of instrumentation systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure that all systems are operating within safe and acceptable parameters.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in electronics or instrumentation preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation and electrical systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including control systems, transmitters, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with other technicians and engineers.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, with a strong commitment to safety and risk management.
The Instrumentation Technician will work on our drilling rigs, which are located in various locations around the world. The work environment will be fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The technician will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and will be exposed to various weather conditions.
