Job Summary:

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Compensation Specialist to join their team in Toronto. As a key member of the payroll and accounting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the compensation process and ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor staff to ensure compliance with compensation policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills
  • Audit and review compensation data to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Prepare and present reports to management on compensation trends and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compensation strategies
  • Perform other duties as required to support the payroll and accounting team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial or accounting setting
  • University or college degree in a related field, such as business or finance
  • Managerial experience, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring staff
  • Knowledge of payroll software and systems, including MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to direct and lead a team in person and remotely
  • Bilingual French/English an asset
