We are seeking two Compensation Specialists with expertise in a unionized setting and exceptional interpersonal skills to support our operations portfolio in various compensation matters.

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, your responsibilities will include conducting research to aid in the review and formulation of compensation policies.

You will manage salary administration tasks and address compensation exceptions that deviate from established policies.

Collaborating with clients, you will assist in creating and updating job descriptions and evaluating positions, as well as supporting assigned clients with daily compensation activities.

You will lead and engage in multiple projects related to compensation.

To facilitate this, you will analyze data, including job evaluations, operating budgets, and survey results, providing consultative support to management or other staff regarding job design and restructuring.

Your role will involve reviewing or gathering data through various research methodologies (occupational analyses, surveys, structured interviews, focus groups, and questionnaires) concerning specific topics and analyzing this information to provide recommendations and necessary changes.

As a Compensation Specialist, you will interpret and offer guidance regarding policies, compensation, or other relevant procedures.

Participation in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program is required.

You will utilize office technology, software, and applications effectively.

Planning and organizing activities/projects to achieve departmental and organizational objectives will be essential.

Your educational qualifications should include a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related field, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent, which is critical for success in this position.

Your application should reflect a comprehensive understanding of job evaluation, job design, organizational analysis, and salary/wage administration principles, concepts, procedures, and practices.

A strong awareness of the connection between compensation administration and other human resources functions, such as recruitment, training, and employee relations, is necessary.

Experience with SAP or a similar HRIS is required, along with proficient computing skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for statistical analysis and presentations.
