About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-Room Dining Server to join our team at Four Seasons Hotel Montreal. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that their dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.
Key Responsibilities- Answer telephone calls using courteous and efficient telephone etiquette, obtaining all necessary information to process guest orders.
- Deliver food orders to guests in a timely manner, ensuring that all requests are met and exceeded.
- Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest's original order, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Transport items to guest rooms in a timely manner, ensuring proper food quality and presentation.
- Communicate guest orders to the kitchen using the hotel's point-of-sales system, ensuring that all requests are received, filed, and ordered from the kitchen.
- Coordinate delivery of items to guest rooms, ensuring that all requests are met and exceeded.
- Properly and accurately close guest checks, record guest charges and gratuities.
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
- Coordinate amenity delivery, ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from the kitchen, and delivered in a prompt and accurate fashion.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Stock and order items, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
- Assist in setting tray tables for delivery, ensuring that all items are properly arranged and presented.
- Walk guest floors and retrieve any In-Room Dining related items from guest floors/rooms.
- Provide service at the restaurant, for rooms or banquets during periods of high volume.
- Report all incidents or unusual situations to the supervisor as quickly as possible.
- Available to work any shift, including morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight.
- 1-2 years' experience in the same role, ideally in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong command of the French and English languages.
- An affinity for guest service.
- Good interpersonal skills, with excellent communication skills required for a large volume of guest contact.
- Ability to move about the facility and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to carry up to 30lbs (13kg).
- Solid food and wine knowledge, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
