Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electric Motor Systems Technician with rewind experience to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

As a key member of our mechanical shop, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex electric motor systems, including armature winding and troubleshooting.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in electric motor repair, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electric motor systems, including armature winding and rewinding.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and evaluation of equipment to identify root causes of issues.
  • Wind and assemble coils for electric motors or transformers.
  • Balance armatures or rotors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Weld and braze or solder electrical connections as needed.
  • Align and adjust parts to close tolerances for reassembly.
  • Complete relevant repair paperwork and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Journeyperson electric motor systems technician with armature rewind experience.
  • Strong background in electric motor repair, including all aspects of the trade.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Team-oriented approach and thought process.
