Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electric Motor Systems Technician with rewind experience to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

As a key member of our mechanical shop, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex electric motor systems, including armature winding and rewinding.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex electric motor systems, including armature winding and rewinding.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and transformers.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and evaluation of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Wind and assemble various types of coils for electric motors or transformers.
  • Balance armatures or rotors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Weld and braze or solder electrical connections as needed.
  • Align and adjust parts to close tolerances to reassemble items.
  • Complete relevant repair paperwork and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
  • Journeyperson electric motor systems technician with armature rewind experience.
  • Strong background in electrical systems, including motor repair and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong standard for quality and safety.
  • Team-oriented approach and thought process.
